My thoughts so far on the book The House of the Scorpion. I think that the book is surprisingly interesting despite my genre stereotype. I really like this book so far, it is attention demanding (but in a good way). I think that the plot is really interesting, different and surprisingly creative in the way that it is a topic that has not been suggested by other literary figures. I think that my favourite character is Celia because she is so tender and caring for someone who isn't her son but might as well be. I think that she is very strong and a good role model for Matt and Maria. I think that the setting of the big house is well describe but I would like to here more about the structure, but i think that the author does a good job at describing the rooms that the characters are in. I think that this book could turn me onto more dystopian books.
